Inspiration: Aurora & Erica Mohn

Hi everyone,

It's not a beauty related post, but it's about Aurora and Erica Mohn. They both inspired me to start a blog, so I thought maybe making a post about them will inspire others in the same way.

They are both from Trondheim, Norway. Many people think they are sisters because they look so alike but they are actually cousins! They are both 16,but Aurora is the youngest out of them.

Aurora and Erica both have blogs, they are in Norwegian but they are automatically translate on some devices. Aurora's Blog and Erica's Blog.

For quite a while I have been aware of Aurora and Erica, from photos off weheartit, a well known photo from that site, quotes

‘boys? Bitch please, I’m going to marry my best friend!

Since I saw this photo I always said how pretty they were and the photo looked really nice, but wasn’t aware they were actually known, hard to explain in words, but yeah! Then I found a post a bucket list site on tumblr, they had in it ‘meet aurora and erica’, I then found out who these girls where and from the on I was inspired by them. On Aurora’s blog she adds beauty, life and clothes/fashion posts!

 

 

Aurora has a tumblr , aswell as her actual tumblr account there are alot of dedicated/fan blogs for her that are also really good, but obviously they are not her so they cant answer all her personal questions. She followed me a few months back, which I was really happy about and had a fangirling session! Even if you don’t have tumblr you can still have a look at her blog and read answered questions, and look at some exclusive pictures! She also has a new one that she uses more reguarly, runawayrora.tumblr.com but it's a bit less personal.

 

Last month, Aurora went to California on a language travel trip for 4 weeks. She has put 2 posts already on questions and answers from her trip and I think she is doing atleast one more.

All of Aurora and Erica’s post are really detailed so anything you see in these pictures that you would like to purchase, will be stated in their blog!
Alot Aurora’s clothes are from an online shop called ‘BikBok’, I have had a look at this website a few times and liked it alot! The only problem is they only deliver to Norway and Sweden, which is really unfortunate for me living here in England, I have heard that they are spreading their delivery service to more areas of the world, so I hope the UK is one of the lucky countries, haha:)
Recently, I haven’t seen many new photos of Aurora and Erica together, except when they went to Oslo last weekend! But, still I like all of there posts, even if they are individual.

 

Basically I can’t explain how much they have inspired me, if you don’t really know who they are or haven’t looked at their blogs you need to, please? Oh yeah they both have YouTube too, Aurora’s channel is called Aurora Mohn Steudahl and Ericas is HeiHeihall0. All of their videos are really good and my absolute favourite is their bedroom tours, ‘Rommet Mitt'.

Erica also does cheer, I'm not 100% but I think she is in a senior 3 team.

Aurora gets over 60,000 views a day on her blog, because of this she gets money from ads which means she gets paid to do her blog, which she did before with out getting paid! Lucky her!!!
Alot of people say she has the perfect life, Aurora is so pretty, has a famous and amazing blog, (and makes money from it),she does dance, and her family are looks so perfect! I agree, obviously some parts of her life aren’t perfect but you can’t get much closer to it!

August Wishlist

Hi everyone,

Towards the end of July and beginning of August, I have found a few beauty items too put on my wishlist. When I say 'August' wishlist, I dont mean I will purchase all of these products this month and in September I will start a fresh list. I just mean it was created then for that month/season.

I made this collage on Polyvore, so if you have an account definitely give me a follow. There are 13 items this  month, all purchasable from the drug-store, or an equivalent. I think, after a bit of research, that all of the products are under the £10 mark. I'm going to just do a brief description for all of them, so you know a bit more about them if you didn't previously know.

1. Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Grapefruit

3. Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Mango
I have the colour 'Lychee' from this range and I really like it. Its a really nice consistency and the paint is really opaque. It has a really nice shine and gloss finish without a top coat. I also feel like it stays on for a long time and doesn't chip easily.
4. Pink tangleteezer
I have been interested in this brush/comb for a while, and this month my hair seems to be more damaged so I have been trying different way of treating and brushing it, this has been talked of well in reviews so hopefully it will work some magic on my hair too.
5. Lush lip scrub in Bubblegum.
This is just a sugar scrub for the lips, although its called bubblegum, it has a scent of candyfloss. I have also seen the different two falvours and I cant choose between Bubblegum and Popcorn.
6. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe
This eyeshadow is a cream formula, the colour is taupe and its quite matte. These cream eyeshadows have good reviews, and stay on for a long time.
7. Real Techniques Expert face brush
These brushes were made by a youtuber, and also have good reviews from bloggers and other youtubers. I think I will use this brush for foundation.
8. Seche Vite top coat
I have recently bought a nail varnish to replace this one, it is the Sally Hansen Mega-shine 60 second top coat. I really like it and a review will be coming soon.
9. Sleek Blush trio in Lace
The blush trio pictured isn't the correct one, but its from the same brand. In the 'Lace' trio, there are 3 shades of coral/orange blushes. I have heard they are pigmented and long-wearing.
10. Revlon Lip butter in 'Tutti Fruitti'
I am a fan of the lip butters, and the orange shade is defintely the next I want. I have been really into orange shades this season.
11. Bourjois |Bronzing Primer
This bronzer from Bourjois, is in a cream formula, I am really interested in trying it out. It's supposed to be a dupe for the Chanel Bronzing Primer, but I haven't personally tried that. I really like wearing bronzera after the summer season, to carry on the sunny glow all yeaar round.
12. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum
After trying out some of the testers I think I am going to be between the shades 55 and 56. I am in need of a new foundation and I think I will give this one a go.
13. Baby lips
If your into beauty, you will know that the Maybelline Baby Lips have finally came to the UK. Last week I went out and purchased Pink Punch from this range. I really like it so I think I'm going to purchase quenched/blue and Cherry Me.

Introduction to 'hydrated by beauty'

Hi everyone.

After endless reading of teen beauty blogs, and adding new reads to my Blog lovin' feed, I have finally decided to give having a blog a whirl. I thought a small introduction would be good just so readers could know a little about me and what this blog is going to be. So after plucking up the courage to create a google account, I was stuck on the second blank, your blog URL. After 30 minutes, I still wasn't settled. But, I went for 'hydrated by beauty', I like the way it involves beauty, but in quite an abstract form. When I say hydrated, I mean it to come across like filled up by/with beauty, anyway I hope you like it and it's not to 'weird' to not be remembered. Now onto the topic, subject kind of thing of my blog, as in the URL its beauty, but its also fashion and lifestyle. For the past year my obssession of make-up and beauty has increased, I watch Youtube videos constantly, read so many blogs, and spend hours just in Boots and Superdrug on endless shopping trips. I think the majority of posts will be beauty and make-up related, but I'm interested in fashion so that will be involved and just day-to-day bits and bobs. I'm going to really try with my photography, because I think that adds to the blog so much and when I'm happy with the appearance I'm sure I will be happy with it all. I have wanted a blog to express my love for makeup and its always been a dream, so now I'm on the road to making it real.

I really want blogging to work for me and for it to be a place I can write about my life and knowledge of the things I love. This post wasn't much but I have a few more already planned and I hope your interested in what my little place on the internet has to hold.
